Data Deletion
Effective 2026-08-16
You can remove your data from SpreadMyPost at any time. There are two ways to do it, and you do not need our permission for either.
Option 1 — do it yourself
Disconnect a single social account
- Log in and open Accounts
- Choose the account you want to remove and select Delete
This immediately deletes the stored access token for that account, along with its profile details and follower history. We can no longer reach that account afterwards.
Delete individual posts or media
Posts and uploaded files can be deleted from the Posts and Media screens. Deleting a post here removes our copy; where the network's API allows it, you can also ask us to remove the published post from the network itself at the same time.
Instagram, Threads and TikTok provide no way to delete a published post through their API. Those have to be removed in the network's own app.
Revoke access from the network
You can also cut access off from the network's side, which works even if you cannot reach us:
- Google and YouTube — myaccount.google.com/permissions
- Facebook and Instagram — Settings → Apps and Websites
- Threads — Settings → Account → Website permissions
- X — Settings → Security and account access → Apps and sessions
- LinkedIn — Settings → Data privacy → Permitted services
- TikTok — Settings → Security and permissions → Manage app permissions
- Pinterest — Settings → Security → Apps
- Bluesky — Settings → App Passwords, and delete the password you issued
- Mastodon and Pixelfed — Preferences → Account → Authorized apps
Option 2 — ask us
Write to privacy@spreadmypost.com from the email address on your account, with the subject Data deletion request.
We confirm receipt within 2 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days.
What gets deleted
- Your account with us, and your login credentials
- All access tokens for every connected social network
- Connected account profiles — names, usernames, avatars
- Follower history and any analytics we recorded
- All posts you created, including drafts and scheduled posts
- All uploaded media and generated thumbnails
What we cannot delete
Content that has already been published to a social network lives on that network, not with us. Removing your data here does not remove those posts. Delete them on the network, either through our interface where its API allows it, or in the network's own app.
We may also retain minimal records where the law requires it — for example transaction records for accounting purposes. These are kept only as long as legally required and are not used for anything else.
